Moving to the wild!

Well, I am on the move again. This time I will be moving up to MAINE!! It is going to be cold, but I am excited for the landscapes and the seafood. It wasn't an easy decision, but I need to get back into what I love, making art. I will be updating more on this blog with sketches and what not's. I think I might make a digital practice blog or vice versa. We will see! Until then, Adios!

Another digital practice

Hi everyone! Here is another digital practice piece! This technique reminds me of when I first started taking art classes in community college. I need to look into my old drawing again, I felt I was more free with them, a freedom I need to find again once in a while.

Some digital practice. I really like the technique of dark to light, reminds me of pastels. I might work with this technique more. I feel more confident with digital with each image I do.

New Sketches

I have been sketching a lot again! It feels good to put pencil to paper. I have some character designs that I have been working on. I need to do some turn arounds next, but these are just to get back into the groove of things. Enjoy.







I have also been trying to do some more book like illustrations. Here is the sketch of the next one I would like to work on, still trying to decide if I want to watercolor the image or digitally color it? Hmmm.

Hi everyone,

I am currently back in Savannah to do an internship and work on my portfolio. I am excited to see where my portfolio goes, for I have realized my heart is in concept work and childrens books. I will post some sketches up for you later tonight or later this week. I will be pushing to make more digital paintings this summer, for my goal is to complete at least 2 paintings. I hope to complete these tasks and buckle myself down to the digital painting world. Thank you for being there with me so far and let us see where this plane is going to go now! : )

Finally found some internet source, since our is down for the moment...

I am trying to do one to three of these each night. I think it is starting to help with my coordination with the stylus. I think I am going to invest in the smaller pen, this one is just... a little too bulky.

Digital Sketching

Well kiddos.... I decided to give digital sketching a go this evening. Since I am a nice scanner down for the moment (until this weekend hopefully, Yay tax returns!)

So, I don't know where I was going with this one... but it was fun and a nice exercise.

I am inspired!!!


So, after much moving and working.. i finally finish a piece. I am so happy!!! I really enjoyed this process. Acrylic with color pencil was wonderful~ Now I know buying all these acrylics wasn't a mistake! I am looking forward to incorporating watercolor into the pieces now. I am interested in experimenting with ink and acrylic mediums... it will be interesting...
