This was our third assignment for Editorial Illustration, an illustration for an article about heart disease in women. This is the first time I have glazed watercolors... it was an experience and now I have learned what and what not to do, I will probably do another one. Let us see what grade I get one it eh?

Our 2nd Project for Editorial Illustration was an article about picking the right shoe for your wedding dress. It was a tough one for me because my color comps had too much color, so after not looking at it for a few hours, I do enjoy the outcome. This illustration was done with Winsor and Newton Watercolors on 140lb Arches paper and the line work was done with a brush pen and a dip pen with a Gpen nib with Higgins india ink, the waterproof one. I enjoyed doing this piece and learned a great deal from it. Now I am excited for our next assignment!

Wow... I haven't used markers in a LONG TIME... It shows =____= . This piece was done with Copic markers and Copic marker liners. This was inspired by Jingna's bridal photo shoot. I really enjoy her photography and hope she puts out another book!
Funny part about doing this picture is I was working on this before we received our new assignment in my Editorial Illustration class. Our new assignment is... Bridal illustration! woo.

I will put that one up when it is finished (so after next week)
Harry Potter! Next week! Yes!

This piece was the final done in my material and techniques I class. The medium is pastels, is 12"x18" and the theme of the assignment was "Secrets". I really enjoyed this project and feel more confident with pastels because our professor had us read an article with an interview of Gary Kelley and his pastel process. It was amazing how his process really worked. I think this is one of my favorite pieces I had done last quarter.
